Alice M. Rend

Alice M. Rend, 77, of Summerville, SC passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024.
 
She was born May 8, 1947 in Punxsutawney, to the late Kenneth and Margaret (Hurst) Hinton.

Alice was a homemaker who volunteered at numerous nursing and senior living facilities. She was a Den Mother, and a "Band Mom". Later, she worked in the admissions office of the College of Charleston. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and taking photos of her family and nature.
 
Alice is preceded in death by an infant child Margaret Ann, her husband Peter Paul Rend, her sisters, Mary Jane Sutter, Patricia Bowser, and Kathy Caroll.
 
Alice is survived by her sons; Dominic Rend, along with his wife Kathrine and their daughters, Alyssa and Samantha, and Damien Rend along with his wife Elena and their daughter Danica. She is also survived by her sister Margie and brother LeRoy.
 

Friends will be received on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc. 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. 
 
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
