Alverda Mae (Miller) Love

Alverda Mae Love, 92, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday February 25, 2022 at Mulberry Square.

She was born December 30, 1929 to Archie John and Mary Elizabeth (Stiver) Miller in Punxsutawney.

Alverda married Donald J. Love January 3, 1953. Together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage together He preceded her in death July 17, 2014. She was the last surviving member of her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, painting, and taking walks in the snow. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Donald Gene Love and wife Karen, Punxsutawney, two grandsons, Donald Love and wife Christin, CA, William Love, Punxsutawney. Three nieces and a nephew, Cathy Smith, Judy Cook and husband Carl, Mary Miller and John Miller all of Punxsutawney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Archie, Arthur, and Harry Miller, a sister, Betty Smith, two half brothers Fred and Floyd Miller, and a half-sister Helen McGlumphy.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Interment will take place at Pine Cemetery, Rossiter.
