Anna Bell (Parise) Behrendt

Anna Bell Behrendt, 91, of Punxsutawney passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born August 1, 1931 to Samuel and Anna Marie (Bianco) Parise in Walston.

Anna was a member of Saint Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and she loved her family.

She is survived by a daughter and four sons; Karen Ganz (Richard), Aurora, CO, James (Diane), Monroe, MI, Gary (Debra), Dearborn Heights, MI, Gerald (Becky), Lincoln Park, MI, and Daniel, Anita, PA, seven grandchildren;  Allan (Amanda), Chris, Todd, Heather (Andrew) Martin, DJ (Lindsey), Stacey, Nicole (Kyle), fourteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a brother Samuel Parise (Carol), N. Tonawanda, NY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James L. Behrendt, a grandson Dylan Behrendt, three sisters; Rosalie McCullough, Francis McDaniels, and Theresa Spadaro, and three brothers; Thomas, James, and Anthony Parise.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Saint Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, 616 W. Mahoning St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767 with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo,Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in  Punxsutawney.
