Barbara A. (Astorino) Brink, age 85 of Rossiter, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Barbara was born December 4, 1932 in Walston. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Angelina (Adams) Astorino. Barbara was a graduate of Saints Cosmas & Damian High School and was employed at Pramco and Bell Telephone. She was married to the late Robert J. Brink on April 19, 1997 at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Walston where she volunteered for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a worker at the Lenten Fish Dinners. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She worked many years for Verizon. There she was the President of the Mt. Laurel Council as well as the Life Members Club for Telecom Pioneers. She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. Barbara is survived by five nieces, two nephews, three great nieces, five great nephews, three great-great nephews and two great-great nieces. Barbara is also survived by three step sons: Robert P. Brink and wife Melissa of Walston, Timothy J. Brink and wife Joyce of Punxsutawney, Dan J. Brink and wife Michelle of Rossiter and one step daughter; Amy Sue Behrendt and husband Mike of Punxsutawney and nine step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her husband Bob, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Samuel Astorino, Charles Astorino, Jr. and three sisters; Rosalie Astorino, Annabelle Astorino and Mary Jane Gigliotti and two nieces: Barbara Ann Aaron and Pamela Marie Cook. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter with Fr. George Saletrik as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
