Betty I. (States) Smith

Betty I. (States) Smith, 92 of Rossiter, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Smith was born August 30, 1924 in Rochester Mills, a daughter of the late Albert and Violet (Gaston) States.
She attended the Canoe Ridge Church of God. She enjoyed caring for her family, crocheting, and quilting.
On August 14, 1946 she married Richard D. Smith (Bub), the love of her life, who survives her.
In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by three sons; Gary R. (Sharon) Smith of Rossiter, Robert A. (Shirl) Smith, and Ricky D. (Robyn) Smith all of Punxsutawney, two siblings; Dennis (Linda) States and Pat (Jack) Gaston, five grandchildren; Michael Smith (Angel), Jennifer Eberhart (Charles), Shawn Smith (Jennifer), Heath Smith (Danielle), and Nicole McDivitt (Ben), thirteen great-grandchildren; Brandon, Ethan, Chase, Jayden Lane, Amelia, Scottie and Frances Smith, Tanner, Isabella, and Jaugar McDivitt, and Alex, Collin, and Carter Eberhart.
She is preceded in death by three brothers; Quay States, Horace States, and Jack States, her sister; Sally Wolfgang, two infant sisters, and two grandchildren; Stefanie and Scott.
Friends will be received from 3-5 and 6-8 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11 AM with Pastor Earl Flick officiating.
Interment is private for family.
