Carolyn A. Nealer, 83 of Rochester Mills, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Arresta at Hillsdale. Carolyn was born December 10, 1933 in Saltsburg, PA. a daughter of the late James E. and Alice (Cunningham) Franklin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward A. Nealer who died September 9, 2006. She was a member of the Rochester Mills Presbyterian Church and also choir director for many years. She was famous for her delicious pies and gobs. Carolyn is survived by three sons; James I. Nealer and wife Roanna of Rochester Mills, Thomas E. Nealer and wife Ann of Acworth, GA. and John A. Nealer and wife Laura of Kennesaw, GA. One brother; James E. Franklin, Jr. of Warren, OH, one sister; Harriet Guthrie of Dallas, TX., eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday, November 24, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
