Christine M. Carlson

Christine M. Carlson, 75 , on January 4, 2018, our beloved mother, widow to Larry H. Carlson formerly of Anita, suddenly passed at St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading,PA. Christine was born December 23, 1942 in Buffalo, NY. She was a daughter of the late Emmerson and Christine (Armitage) Textor.

After the loss of her husband she spent her life dedicated to raising her four children. Christine went on to earn her Diploma of Practical Nursing and ultimately retiring from Punxsutawney Area Hospital in 2007.

During her retirement, Christine spent her days in Sinking Spring, PA with her sons; Christopher Carlson, Duane Carlson and beloved daughter in-law Jessica. She was an active member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Sinking Spring, PA.

She is survived by her children Larry Carlson and wife Kate of Annapolis, MD, Christopher Carlson and wife Jessica, Duane Carlson all of Sinking Spring, PA. Grandchildren; Shannon Stiver, Lauren Carlson, Alex Carlson, and Dakota Long. Great grandchild Bailey Riggleman, Brother James Texter of Clearwater, FL, two sisters; Shirley Haag of Daytona, FL and Mina Thompson of Buffalo, NY.

In addition to her parents and husband,she was preceded in death by a daughter Sandy Carlson and a sister Paula Stiefler.

Friends will be received from 4-8pm Saturday January 6, 2018 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 pm in the funeral home with Joseph Buterbaugh officiating. Private interment will be made in the K of P Cemetery in Anita.
