Clayton E. "Ham" Riddle

September 25, 1932 — June 19, 2023

Rossiter

Clayton E. “Ham” Riddle, 90, of Rossiter, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 19, 2023.

He was born September 25, 1932 to Clayton E. Sr. and Martha (McCully) Riddle in Rossiter.

Ham was a peace time veteran, honorably serving with the United States Army. He worked for Hoffman Diamond Products in Punxsutawney where he retired after more than 40 years. As a longtime member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Juneau, he enjoyed attending services and men’s prayer breakfast.

Ham was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by the love of his life, his wife of 68 years, Norma “Teck” (Cressley) Riddle of Rossiter and their beautiful family including four children, Connie Callen, Punxsutawney, Clayton “Budd” Riddle and wife Georgia, Rossiter, Sharon Carlson and husband Jeff, Anita, Michelle Shugarts and husband Dan, Punxsutawney; five grandchildren, Amanda Boozer and husband Adam, Luke Riddle and wife Danyka, Brooke Schneider and husband Jonathan, Bryce Carlson and wife Megan, Amber Marshall and husband Logan; and four great grandchildren, Tye Jones-Marshall, Kennedy Schneider, Ava Carlson, and the newest addition Presley Schneider. He is also survived by many extended family members.

He loved talking to people and he had a great memory; he was curious to learn more about everyone he met and he rarely forgot anyone. If you were a stranger when you met him, you weren’t a stranger for long. Over the years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, watching baseball especially the Pirates, attending his grandkids’ ball games, family camping trips to Erie, and spending quality time with his family. He could often be heard whistling and enjoyed country and gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Donna Duke and Shirley Davis, and in-laws Ralph and Velma Cressley.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 3-7 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, and also on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Don Brauer officiating.

Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Rossiter.
