Constance S. Kandare

Constance S. “Connie” Kandare, 63, of Big Run, formerly of Smethport, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her home.

She was born July 25, 1960 to the late Norman and Lucille (Brady) Seger in Punxsutawney.

Connie was a graduate of Port Allegany High School in 1978. Connie owned the Cottage House Restaurant in Smethport. She mainly worked in the restaurant industry most of her life. Connie moved to Big Run in 2012 to be closer to family.   

She is survived by a son Dylan James Reed, State College, three brothers; Gary Long, VA, Richard Seger, Big Run, and Daniel Seger (Paula), VA, a sister Pamela Rearick (Marlin), Big Run, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Cindy Cole.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
