Daniel Lee Hurd

Daniel Lee Hurd, 79, of Mahaffey, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home.

He was born July 13, 1943 to the late Fred and Josephine (Reffner) Hurd in LaJose.

Dan was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States Navy.

Dan was a member of Mahaffey VFW and Glen Campbell Legion. Dan worked in Painsville, Ohio retiring from General Electric. He moved back to Mahaffey in 1999 to be closer to his family. Dan enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hanging out with his friends at the VFW and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Jackie M. Jenkins and husband Ricky, Mahaffey, a son Tracy A. Hurd, Madera, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters, Betty Goss, Arcadia, Lois Edwards, Freda Palo, both of Painsville, OH, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Frank.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market Street, Mahaffey, PA 15757.

Interment will follow at LaJose Cemetery, LaJose.
