David O. Waltman, 58 of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, surrounded by his family.
David was born November 25, 1958 in N. Tonawanda, NY., a son of the late Ralph and Sophie (Shonavich) Waltman.
June 23, 1984 he married his loving wife Vickie L. (Wright) Waltman of Punxsutawney who survives.
David was a member of the Chestnut Grove Independent Church and the Rossiter Sportsmans Club. He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing and shooting guns. He was the former owner of Waltmans Tropical Fish Shop in Coolspring.
In addition to his wife Vickie, he is survived by his daughter; Jessica Waltman and Gary Quick and one granddaughter; Mackenzie Waltman all of Punxsutawney. Four brothers; John Waltman, Ralph and Charlene Waltman, Bob and Dorene Waltman and George and Mary Waltman all of Punxsutawney. Two sisters; Anna Mae Pierce and husband Jerry of Punxsutawney, Carol and Ted Wells of New Bethleham and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Roy Waltman and a sister in law; Lecitia "Lattie" Waltman.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, July 31 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Spack officiating.
