Debra I. “Debbie” Bridge, 68, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Indiana Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born July 9, 1954 to Ardell and Shirley Lou (Martin) Barnett in Punxsutawney.
She was a member of Cloe United Methodist Church. Debbie was an active member of the church, teaching Sunday School and always willing to help where she was needed. She was a 1972 graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. She had various jobs working at Punxsy Sportswear, S&T Bank, Punxsutawney School District and Walmart. Debbie was active in raising her family serving as Cub Master of the Cub Scouts at Bell Township Elementary School for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whenever she could especially taking them to camp to enjoy the outdoors with them. Her family was the light of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Thomas A. Bridge, Punxsutawney and two sons, Joshua T. Bridge and wife Beth, Punxsutawney and Matthew J. Bridge and Deidra Martino, Punxsutawney. She is also survived by her three granddaughters, Hope A. Bridge and wife Allaynah, Hannah Bridge and Haley Bridge; two brothers, Howard J. Barnett and wife Sharon, Punxsutawney and Robert Barnett and wife BJ, Anita; a sister, Janice Bosak and husband Don, Punxsutawney and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marsha Cochran and her brother Michael Barnett.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
