Denny Rankin

Dennis James Rankin, 70, of Cloe, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his home.

He was born October 9, 1954, to Harry James and Genevieve (Cokely) Rankin in Punxsutawney.

Denny was former member of the Albion Methodist Church. He was a 1972 Graduate of Jeff Tech. Denny worked for Jefferson Grocery for 32 years as a mechanic. He then worked for Marc Sallack Trucking. He retired from Penn Dot as a Foreman. Denny served as a Deputy Game Warden for 32 years and taught Hunters Education Classes for over 40 years. He enjoyed going to Turkey Shoots, Sporting Clays and fishing. His family was the love of his life. He was their biggest protector and provider. Denny took pride in putting his family first.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan (Mitchell) Rankin, a son, Andrew J. Rankin, a daughter Amanda J. Rankin, all of Cloe. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Judy Marie, and a brother Harry L. Rankin. 

A Celebration of Life service for Denny will be held at a later date.
