Edith J. Fishel

Edith J. Fishel, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Westover, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. 

She was born May 15, 1946 to David B. and Virginia May (McMasters) Painter in Punxsutawney . 

Edith attended New Beginnings Church in Punxsutawney. 

Edith is survived by two sons, Wesley D. Mauk, Sr. and wife Michelle, Westover, Kevin M. Mauk, Sr. and wife Melissa, Homer City, eight grandchildren, Karly Mauk, Wesley D. Mauk Jr., Lakan Walker, Kevin M. Mauk, Jr., Zackary Mauk, Mark Olson, Kaylee Turner, and Hannah McElwain, eight great grandchildren, Linden and Raine, and Bennett, Asher, Caiden, Jaxon, Layne, and Brian. a brother Ronald Painter, Sr., Punxsutawney, and a sister Kimberly Betz, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Lorie Sue Walker.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market St., Mahaffey, PA 15757. 

Interment will take place at Rowley Cemetery, Hillsdale.
