Francis "Frank" Matts

Francis "Frank" Matts, 57 of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Penn Highlands Health System, DuBois.
Mr. Matts was born March 2, 1958 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Joseph P. Matts and Anna Mary (Maloney) Matts.
October 17, 1987 he married his beloved wife Roxy L. (Gardner) Matts of Punxsutawney. They were married 29 years.
He was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Church. He was a 1976 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
Frank was the owner of Frank N' Steins Restaurant since July 2, 1989. He was also the former manager of Steak N Snack in Dubois and a member of the American Culinary Federation.
In addition to his wife Roxy, he is survived by his son; Cody Matts and wife Natasha of Smicksburg, daughter; Carly Matts of Punxsutawney, a brother; Ed Matts and wife Lisa of Punxsutawney, a sister; Mary Ellen Matts of Ft. Thomas, KY. and two sister's in law; Sally Matts of Waldorf, MD. and Sylvia Matts of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Fr. Tom Matts T.O.R., Joe Matts and William Matts.
Friends will be received from 2-8 pm Wednesday, February17, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11 am Thursday at Ss. Cosmas & Damain Church with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo as Celebrant.
Interment is private.
