Gary “Pedro” Pearce passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2024, at the age of 66.
Our family was not expecting Pedro’s life to be cut short. We are all devastated by this huge loss, and he will be forever missed. He was born with a natural sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a heart of gold. Pedro was always fun to be around.
Being born into a family that had a love for the outdoors, Pedro was always in the woods hunting, fishing, or riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles. His favorite hunting season was Spring Gobbler. Pedro was also a lifelong Steelers fan.
Pedro worked at a few jobs prior to him and his wife purchasing D&G Grocery. They owned and operated it for 23 years. After that time, he was excited to retire in 2018. During retirement, Pedro got to enjoy more time hunting with Jayden, midnight snack times with Raelynn, romping with Bella and Logan, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs.
Pedro was survived by and will always be remembered with much love by his wife, Debra (Morley) Pearce; son, Eric (Brigid) Pearce; daughters, Shannon Watson and Stephanie (Joe) Sowers; grandchildren, Jayden, Raelynn, Bella, and Logan; a sister, Edith (Larry) Fulton; brother, Ron (Mary) Pearce; and sisters-in-law, Sue and Penny Pearce. Also, a long list of deeply saddened aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind Trudy and Ruger, his two furry companions that are now missing their favorite person.
Pedro was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harvey Pearce; mother, Doris Jean (Hopkins) Pearce; sister, Gloria Mack; brothers, Chuck and Bob Pearce and Jody “Gumby” Smith.
