Genevieve (Baker) Bridge

Genevieve Bridge, 91 of Punxsutawney passed away peacefully at her home on March 17, 2021.

Genevieve was born in Punxsutawney on November 19, 1929 to Clair & Irene Baker.

She married Thomas L Bridge on September 16, 1953 and they enjoyed 65 years together until his death on October 1, 2018. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, spending time at the family camp, gardening and sitting on her porch.

She is survived by her 2 sons Thomas A Bridge and wife Debbie, and David C Bridge and fiancée Diane Neville; grandsons Joshua Bridge and wife Beth, Matthew Bridge and David S Bridge; great-granddaughters Hope, Hannah and Haley Bridge, special caregiver Denise Himes and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents Genevieve was preceded in death by her daughter in-law Priscilla Bridge, sisters Margaret Koestler, Pansy Roberts, Esther Kendra, Virginia Conrad, brothers Wilbur Baker, Kenneth Baker, Gardner Baker, Edward Baker and Clair Baker.

At Genevieve’s request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date with internment at Circle Hill Cemetery in Punxsutawney.

The McCabe Funeral Home Inc. of Punxsutawney, have been entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
