Gregory C. Smith, 52, of Punxsutawney, passed away on January 13, 2022 in North Carolina.

He was born January 13, 1970 to Robert C. and Violet (Sheilds) Smith in Punxsutawney.

Greg was a 1988 Graduate of Jeff Tech. He mainly worked construction, but he could do almost anything. Greg enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman but fishing for walleye was his favorite.

He is survived by his mother, Violet (Sheilds) Smith, Punxsutawney, his father Robert C. Smith, Punxsutawney, three brothers, Robin Smith and wife Lonnie, Cliff W. Smith and wife Heather, Shawn A. Smith, all of Punxsutawney, a sister, Beth Edwards and husband Chuck, FL, Nieces and nephews Heather, Julie, Morgan, Charli, Hailey, Olivia, Shayla, Shawn, Kayla, Dane and Brianna, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Grant Smith and step-mother Leora “Mae” (Pifer) Smith.

Friends will be received on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Private interment will follow at Brickle Cemetery, in Smithport.
