Harold J. "Pug" Seger

Harold J. “Pug” Seger, 83 of Rossiter, passed away on December 23, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Rossiter on June 16, 1939 to Sherman and Robina (Johnson) Seger.

Harold retired from Interstate Amesite and was a member of the Rossiter Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in his younger years he pitched for the Rossiter Miners and threw a no-hitter. He loved his family and working on his property.

Harold is survived by his wife Mary Jane Seger, Rossiter, a sister Geneva “Teed” Rypczyk of Sharpsville.  Also surviving are his nephews; Ronald C. Seger and wife Sherry of Rossiter, Terry L. Seger and wife Rhonda of Punxsutawney, Keith Rypczyk and wife Margi of Sharon, Louie Bonicalzi of Punxsutawney and his nieces; Brenda Tomko and husband Dan of Hermitage, Sandy Crouse and husband Eddie of Maryland, and Cheryl Costello and husband Glen of Punxsutawney and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers; Charles “Spark” Seger and Ronald “Butch” Seger and his sister Emma Jean “Dot” Bonicalzi.

Friends will be received on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767 with Rev. Donald Brauer officiating.

Interment will follow at Pierce Cemetery.
