Ida Pearl Neal, 97 of Rossiter, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at Rose Haven Personal Care in Indiana.

She was born, May 11, 1927, to Loy R. and Veda (States) Vite in Rossiter.

Ida was Christian by faith. She was a cafeteria aid for over 30 years for the Punxsutawney Area School District, which was all spent at Banks Canoe Elementary school. Ida enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. Ida also enjoyed canning vegetables from her own garden. Most of all Ida loved her family.

She is survived by a son Randy E. Neal (Pam), Perrysburg, OH, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law Kathy Neal, Clymer, a sister Sandy Jefferies, Marion Center and a sister-in-law Kate Vite, Punxsutawney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane R. Neal, in 1992, a son Russell L. Neal, a sister Jane Conrad and two brothers Donald and Thomas Vite.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Interment will take place at Union Hill Cemetery, Rossiter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Indiana County Blind Association, Inc., P,O. Box 209, Home, PA 15747.
