Jacqueline S. Mercer, 81, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Miners Hospital in Hastings.

She was born August 28, 1943, to Henry and Lena (Pastor) Russell in Tonawanda, NY.

Jackie attended the Salvation Army Church. She was a member of Punxsutawney Moose Lodge and Punxsutawney American Legion. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed collecting Betty Boop items. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by, Kenneth J. Mercer, Jr. (Bessie), Stump Creek, Dessa M. Fyock, Punxsutawney,

Jacqueline S. Travis (Ken), Rochester Mills, Alisa L. Buchanan, Punxsutawney, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three siblings; her sisters Sandra Kalobius and Marylin Gilbert and a brother, Raymond Russell, all of NY, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth J. Mercer, Sr., in 2008, and a brother, Henry “Junior” Russell.

Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
