James William "Jimmy" Imes

James William “Jimmy” Imes, 65 of Punxsutawney, passed away Wednesday May 6, 2020 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born April 3, 1955 to Harold and Frances (Ellett) Imes in Lancaster, PA

Jimmy graduated from Glendale High School and attended New Beginnings Church of Walston, PA and Saints Cosmas and Damian Church of Punxsutawney, PA. He was employed at FEMCO Machine as a Field Service Technician for 32 years where he acquired many lifelong friends. Jimmy enjoyed reading, listening to music, and traveling with his beloved wife. He adored his children and grandchildren and watching them grow.

He is survived by his wife of 2.5 years Michele (Tattersall) Imes of Punxsutawney, the love of his life. Also, by son Andy (Jennifer) Imes of Mahaffey, daughter Candice Shipley of Clearfield, Four grandchildren Jeannise and Olivia Imes and Mailyn and Gerald Shipley, two step-daughters Alicia Travis and Emily (Lorne) Hyskell. He is also survived by a brother Pastor Tim (Rhonda) Imes of York and sister Sandy (Jeff) Liuzzo if Greenfield Township,a neice Cyndee (Nick) Noss and their son Jimmy Noss, nephew Neil (Gina) Imes and their daughters Addison and Allyson Imes.

He was preceded in death by parents.
