James E. Petrick

James Eugene Petrick, 40 of Punxsutawney, went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 2, 2025.

He was born March 23, 1984, to Michael J. and Jane Ann (Spak) Petrick in DuBois. 

James was a 2002 graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School and graduated from Triangle Tech. James was employed by NOVA Health Services in DuBois. He was a member of Saint Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, an active member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. James had a strong love for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed out of state hunting trips, fishing local streams and lakes, and spending his quality free time at with his good friend Dr. Frank Bizousky at camp OZ. 

He is survived by his parents, a sister Elizabeth A. Mohney and husband Doug, DuBois, a niece, Arden J. and a nephew Mason J. Mohney, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pat and Eugene Petrick, maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Jane Spak, and his aunt, uncle and cousin, Debbie, Don, and Katelynn Smelko.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date.
