James M. "Satch" Jenary

James M. “Satch” Jenary, 70 of Rossiter, passed away Tuesday January 18, 2022 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born August 24, 1951 to the late Steve S. and Junipher (Henry) Jenary in Punxsutawney.

Satch was an active member of Chestnut Grove Independent Church. He was employed as a truck driver for over 48 years. He was very well known in the trucking industry. Drivers would call him for advice on many occasions. Satch was a self-employed over the road truck driver for over 30 years. After selling his truck, he worked for Marc A. Sallack trucking and most recently driving for Dustin Brooks Trucking. Satch enjoyed restoring his 1972 Plymouth Duster. His first car that he purchased new, sold and then found in a field in Rossiter and restored it back to its original condition.  He also enjoyed a good joke, politics, driving truck, drag racing, riding his motorcycle, traveling with his wife. His favorite places in his travels were Alaska and Yellowstone National Park. Most of all Satch loved the Lord and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbie Jo (Clark) Jenary, Rossiter, two sons Steve S. Jenary, Rossiter, Sean M. and wife Barb, Punxsutawney, a daughter Shanna M. Adams and husband Jimmy, Punxsutawney, five grandchildren, Cullen Jenary, Harley Jenary, Tucker, Jenary, Gabbie Adams, and Stella Adams. A brother Art Jenary, and a sister Laura Jenary, both of Punxsutawney, numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Betty Jenary.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, Friends will also be received on Sunday from 1PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Independent Chruch, 342 Lipp Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767. With Reverend Joseph Spack officiating.

Interment will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery.
