Jane Weber Wineberg, 89 of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
Jane was born July 17, 1928 in Big Run, a daughter of the late Lee Oran Weber and Lulu Viola Henry Weber.
She was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church in Punxsutawney where in the past she was active as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon, a member of the Bazaar Committee, Homemakers Group and very active in her children's and grandchildren's activities such as Little League, Teener League, Legion and Men's Softball teams, Girl Scouts, soccer, band,and basketball where she was lovingly known as "Coach Janie". She was also a volunteer at Jenks Hill Elementary School for ten years and loved working with the children and retired from Ames in Punxsutawney. Jane loved to work in her flower gardens, can vegetables and work on jigsaw puzzles. While at Christ the King Manor for the past four years, Jane enjoyed music, crafts, bingo and the friendship of her many aides and nurses.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 67 years; George M. Wineberg of Punxsutawney. They were married June 11, 1950. She is also survived by her son; Dennis Wineberg (Leslie) of Big Run, daughters'; Beverly Keeley (John) of Punxsutawney, Paula Wineberg-McCreary (Michael) of Erie, grandchildren; Jason Wineberg (Branda), Robyn Wineberg, Kaylynn Brubaker (Joshua )and Laura Prutznal (Landon). Great grandchildren; Baily Wineberg, Aubrey and Nicholas Wineberg and Quinn Mace. One brother; Loyd Weber (Peggy) Peoria IL., also her sisters in law; Elda and Gervin Wineberg and brother in law; Darrell Wineberg (Sara) all of Big Run.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother; Max Weber and a sister; Irene Ankiel.
Friends will be received from Noon until 2 pm Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Joseph Buterbaugh officiating.
