Joseph A. Shrecengost

Joseph A. Shrecengost, 73, of Mayport, passed away on August 20, 2024. He was born June 20, 1951 to the late Warren and Dorothy (Reimer) Shrecengost in Punxsutawney.

After graduating from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1969, he became a truck driver. Joe was the owner of both Mt. Tabor Trucking and Shrecengost Company for over 40 years. 

Surviving relatives include his children: Leonard (Brandy) Shrecengost of Punxsutawney and Elizabeth Shrecengost of Massachusetts; grandchildren: Nova Shrecengost and Memphis Shrecengost as well as numerous nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Shrecengost and Robert Shrecengost. 

Services are private and have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. James Lutheran Cemetery Association, 3416 Hamilton Markton Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
