Joyce E. Deahl

Joyce E. Deahl, 78, of Rossiter, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 28, 1945, to Raymond and Carabell (Lockard) Roush.

Joyce was a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. After high school, she met the love of her life, Gary Deahl, to whom she was married on August 16, 1965. She was a homemaker where she raised, two children and many pets. When Joyce wasn’t tending to her household, she had many hobbies. Joyce enjoyed crafting, reading and was an avid player of the skills games. She was considered lucky by those around her.

Joyce is survived by her husband; a daughter, Janet Gruver (Kevin) of New Bethlehem; three sisters: Lois Kerr (Jack) of Ohio, Donna Simmons (Harold) of Ohio, and Mona Norton of North Carolina; a brother, Raymond Roush Jr. (Trudy) of Cora; three grandchildren: Kody Gruver of New Bethlehem, Kasey Gruver (Sierra) of Rimersburg, Kaelyn Swanson (Austin) of Ridgway; a great grandson, Kayson Gruver of New Bethlehem, her beloved dog Lilly and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Richard “Rick” Deahl.

Services are private and have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
