Joyce L. Pisarcik

Joyce L. Pisarcik, 82, of Rossiter, ran into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, May 12, 2024.

She was born on March 11, 1942 to Noah Paul and Ellen (Miller) Stahlman 

Joyce was loved by all who knew her. She was a shining light when she entered a room, spreading joy and warmth wherever she went. She showed and shared her love of Jesus to everyone she met, radiating a sense of peace and contentment. She had a passion for life and enjoyed expressing herself through various forms of creative expression, including on-stage performances while on vacations. Her vibrant smile and infectious laughter had the power to light up a room and bring people together.

Joyce was a member of New Beginnings Church in Punxsutawney. She worked several jobs in the area but was most known as being the greeter at Walmart. She worked at Walmart the day it opened and retired after working there for 10 years. She loved spending time and taking care of her family. She loved leading and teaching VBS to the children in the Rossiter area about how much Jesus loved them. She will always be the light in our lives and missed greatly. 

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 60 plus years, whom she married on February 15, 1964 John Pisarcik, Rossiter, four daughters, Johnna Cameron and husband Greg, Punxsutawney, Alissa “Sis” Aul and husband Curt, Punxsutawney, Michelle “Shelly” Catalano and husband Jim, Rossiter, Amy Lynn Travis and husband Jeff, Punxsutawney, three grandchildren. Brandon John Weaver, Shelocta, Cassie Elizabeth Marie Aul, Chloe Nicole Aul, Punxsutawney, a brother Dave Stahlman, Rossiter, a sister Sharon Cessna and husband John, Punxsutawney, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Noah Paul Stahlman Jr., and a sister Patsy Brink.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, and also on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the New Beginnings Church, 2785 Walston Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the New Beginnings Church Missions Fund or Rossiter Global Methodist Church, 365 Hospice or the Alzheimer’s awareness.
