Juanita I. Yohe, 89 of Big Run, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Ms. Yohe was born October 20, 1927 in Coalport, a daughter of the late Warren and Nellie (Filhart) Peace.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Big Run where she was very active and held numerous titles. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post #2076. She married her late husband, James S. Yohe on March 11, 1948.

She is survived by two sons; Cliffton Yohe (Kathy) of Big Run, Dennis Yohe (partner Ron Bruner) of Omaha, NB, one daughter; Bonnie Haugh of Big Run, one step-sister; Dorothy Wrenn (Ron) of Sanibel, FL, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, four great great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband James who passed away June 30, 2008, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Wayne and Jay Peace, and two sisters; Phyllis Gibbs and Lois Cressley.

Friends will be received from 1-3 pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the First Christian Church in Big Run. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Andy Cressman officiating.

Interment at McClure Cemetery is private for family.

All arrangements are under the care of McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
