Karen S. McCloskey

Karen Sheryl Anders McCloskey, 79, of Mercer, PA passed from this life November 18, 2022.

She was born September 23, 1943 in Rockhill Furnace, Huntington County PA to the late Thomas Ross “Brownie” Anders and Mabel (Myers) Anders-Hall.

Karen married Lawrence McCloskey in 1967. She attended the Wayside Community Church and enjoyed listening to Christian music, especially by her former pastor Shaw’s family. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, two sons; Lawrence of Liverpool, PA and Dean of Mercer, PA, two brothers; Sherman “Shelley” Anders,of Alexandria, PA and Abram Anders of Tyrone, PA, two sisters; Marlene Itinger, of Alexandria, PA and Joyce Neidermyer-Jones of Ephrata, PA.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Anders, three brothers-in-law; Carl Neidermyer, Robert Itinger, and Glenn Jones and her step-father, Walter K. Hall.

A memorial service will be held at God’s Missionary Church, on July 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
