Big Run

Larry L. Brown, 80, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Big Run, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born July 18, 1940 in DuBois to the late Alvin Brown and Avanella (Keller) Brown.

He worked for Keystone Country Concrete for many years before retiring. Larry was a hard worker all of his life and would offer his help to anyone who needed it. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Meckley) Brown. They were married 49 years.

Larry is survived by his children, Debbie Bargerstock (Kirk) of Mahaffey, Lorrie Shelstad of Sykesville and Steve Brown of Troutville. Eight grandchildren, Derek Woods, Shanna Gula, Ashley Woods, Deanna Bauer, Brett Bargerstock, Brice Bargerstock, Dakota Brown & Dylan Brown. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Brown.

Friends will be received on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of of service, at 12:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc.. in Punxsutawney.
