Mary Ann Manners

Mary Ann Manners, 79 of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Manners was born November 13, 1937 in Mahaffey, a daughter of the late Arthur and Violet (Styers) Frampton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter D. Manners.
She was a lifetime member of the McCalmont Twp.Volunteer Fire Company and Jefferson County Fire-Police. She worked most of her life at Loree Footwear and Montgomery Traps and she loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Mrs. Manners is survived by two sons; Orrie (Katie) Manners of Anita, Paul  Manners of Florida, two daughters; Beth (Michael) Phillips and Connie (Bud) Shick all of Punxsutawney and one brother; John (Laudria) Frampton of Reynolds ville.Six grandchildren; Matt Heffner, Courtney Phillips, Dalton and Trevor Shick, Josh and Shania McAfoos. 5 great grandchildren Anson and Adler Heffner, Keaden and Kollin McAfoos, Brantley Lovelace.
In addition to her husband Walter, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter; Samantha Phillips and one brother; Marion "Ted" Frampton.
Friends will be received from 2-4 &6-8 pm Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, March 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor James Fillhart officiating.Interment is private Ridgemont Cementry.
