Michael Lee Mott Sr.

Michael Lee Mott Sr., 58, of Punxsutawney, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

He was born February 7, 1965 to Roger M. Mott and Barbara H. (Kapanowski) Toven in Punxsutawney.

Mike was a 1984 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. He drove truck for various companies before owning his own trucking company, MLM Trucking.  He was most recently employed with PennDOT. Mike enjoyed music, NASCAR, playing guitar and watching birds. He was an avid animal lover and rescuer. Most of all, Mike loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son Michael Lee Mott, Jr., Punxsutawney, his mother Barbara H. (Mott) Toven, Anita, two sisters; Michelle M. Hutchinson and Melanie Sue Elkin and husband Greg, his fiancée Wendy K. Moore, all of Punxsutawney, two step-children; Keisha Rearick and husband Jordan, Indiana, Corey Boston and girlfriend Brianna, Punxsy, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and his faithful dog, Rusty.

He was preceded in death by his father Roger M. Mott and step-father, Arthur Allen Toven, Sr.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Punxsutawney, PA 15767, with Lee Moore officiating.
