Michael D. Rippl

Michael D. Rippl, 68, passed away at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh on March 20, 2025. On the first day of spring, his favorite season of the year.

Michael was born on November 23, 1956, in Neenah, Wisconsin to David and Frances (Silvia) Rippl.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin where he met the love of his life, Pamela Maehl, Michael joined the Navy where he served as an Air Traffic Controller. Michael would marry Pamela on May 26, 1979. For the rest of his time, he would work as a supervisor at Geico. During his free time, he would invest himself in history. Michael participated in many Living History events, extending from Pirates all the way to the Civil War.

Michael is survived by his wife; his parents; three daughters, Jessilyn Gray (Michael), Seattle, Janine Vega (Omar), Chicago, and Justine Mahan (Patrick), Rossiter; four grandchildren, Ian and Ainslie Gray, and Darrien and Mabel Mahan; a brother, Tim Rippl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At the families wishes, the services have been privately entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc.
