Richard G. "Dick" Pifer

Richard G. “Dick” Pifer, 79 o Punxsutawney, passed way Saturday, March 17, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born January 12, 1939 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Ellsworth and Bernice (Pierce) Pifer. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Maines) Pifer in 1988. Dick was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Hale # 642. He was the owner of Pifer’s Used Cars in Punxsutawney where he worked for may years before retirement. He loved NASCAR, racing and also racing go carts with the grandchildren. He is survived by his children; Kerry Pifer and wife Denise of Punxsutawney, Jimmy Stewart of Big Run and Tammy Mahan and husband Bill of Rossiter, one brother; Darrell “Butch” Pifer of Punxsutawney, one sister; Darlene Huey of Punxsutawney. His grandchildren; Nicole, Jill, Jamie, Dylan and Johona Stewart, Patrick Mahan and wife Justine, Julie Mahan and fiance Chad, Kourtney Pifer, Keagan Pifer and friend Ashley. Step grandchildren; Brandi Snell and husband Richie, Jacob Vanyo and Fiancee' Felicia, Steven Omler, and numerous other step grandchildren and one on the way and numerous step great-grandchildren.At the request of Mr. Pifer, there will be no viewing.
