Robert K. Dietrich, a beloved husband, father, and accomplished professional, passed away on November 24, 2023, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. He was born on October 28, 1946, in New Jersey to the late Kenneth A. Dietrich and Adelaide Kline.
Robert had a distinguished career which spanned many years. He was the assistant vice president of Interconnect Phone Company. Later on, he worked for the State Legislature of North Carolina as a computer technician manager until his retirement. Robert's commitment to his work and diligence made him highly regarded among his colleagues.
While Robert was a dedicated professional, he had a deep passion for photography that brought immense joy to his life and those around him. His talent and artistic eye shone through each photograph he captured. Over the years, Robert sold many of his exceptional photographs to various buyers who were captivated by the beauty he was able to capture within each frame. His photographs not only brought recognition but also earned him numerous awards throughout his lifetime.
Not only was Robert accomplished in his career and passion for photography, but he also served with honor in the United States Coast Guard. His dedication and service to the nation exemplified his strong sense of duty and patriotism.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Donna (Leonard) Dietrich of Punxsutawney. Their bond was one built on love and support. He also leaves behind a son Thomas Dietrich and wife Cindy of Upper St. Clair, who will forever cherish the values and lessons imparted by their remarkable father. Robert was a doting grandfather to two beautiful granddaughters, Melody Pickford and Aria Dietrich. In addition, Robert is survived by his brother Ed Dietrich and a niece Brie Gutierrez.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Carol Dietrich.
