Ronald E. Kitchen

Ronald E. Kitchen, 85, of Mahaffey, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his home.

He was born October 19, 1938 to the late Kendel and Ruth (White) Kitchen in Westover.

Ron was Christian by faith. He was a heavy equipment operator. He worked for C and K Coal Company and for most of his life he was self employed as a heavy equipment contractor. Ron enjoyed working on projects, old tractors, trucks, and tinkering around his farm. He loved spending time with his family and tending to his farm.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sara Barbara (Hilliard) Kitchen, Mahaffey, two sons, Ronald E. Kitchen Jr. and wife Kerri, FL, Robert K. Kitchen, Mahaffey, and a daughter Debra J. Solley and husband Edward, FL,  ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, two brothers, Raymond Kitchen and wife Patty, Stump Creek, Terry Kitchen and wife Eva Jean, Mahaffey, a sister Patty Kitchen-Savering, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

Interment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahaffey.
