Russell F. "Rusty" "B-Man" Bowser

Russell F. (Rusty or B-Man) Bowser, 66, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Mulberry Square.

He was born April 8, 1958, to the late Eugene R. and Joan M. (Smith) Bowser in Punxsutawney.

Rusty was a long-time member of the Punxsutawney Eagles and an active member of the Punxsutawney Lions Club. He was a generous, giving and kind-hearted man that was loved by everyone who met him. He knew most of the citizens of Punxsutawney and the surrounding counties, and if you didn’t know Rusty, you would know him well after a few minutes of conversation. Rusty worked at the Valier Coal Yard for 25 years before retiring.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and the community.

 He is survived by a brother Eugene “Bob” Bowser and wife Donna, a sister Susan Campbell and Jeff Gaston, all of Punxsutawney, his nephews Nicholas Bowser, Jason Frederick and wife Christine, and Michael Frederick and wife Amanda.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, with Pastor Joel Fugate officiating.

 Interment will take place at Ridgemont Cemetery,

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Punxsutawney Lions Club.
