Samuel J. Lorelli

Samuel J. Lorelli, 87, of DuBois, formerly of Anita, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his home.

He was born October 24, 1934 to the late John and Raphael (Renne) Lorelli in Anita.

Sam was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was a member of Saint Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Punxsutawney. Sam graduated from St. Adrian High School. He retired from Wolf Furniture where he worked for 35 years in management. Sam enjoyed painting over the years as a hobby and gave some of his work away to be enjoyed by others.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret “Marge” Lorelli, DuBois, a daughter Michelle Gilga and husband Mike, Reynoldsville, two grandchildren, Michael and Heather Gilga, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosalie Lorelli, Helen Blose, Millie Gouge, Louise Murajda, four brothers, Victor, Eugene, Joseph and Anthony Lorelli.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc. 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA, from 12:00 PM until the time of Prayer Service at 2:00 PM with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will follow in the Adrian-Anita Catholic Cemetery.
