Samuel T. Peterson

Samuel T. "Butch" Peterson, 79, of Clearfield, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Judy Sprankle Retirement Home in Punxsutawney. Butch was born January 11, 1940 in Mahaffey to the late Samuel Peterson Sr. and Anna (Bracken) Peterson. Butch was a very hard worker. He took pride in his tasks such as stacking wood. He loved having fun and sled riding. His memory was incredibly sharp and when ever someone needed a reminder, Butch knew when and where. He was a friend to everyone and would do anything for you. He is survived by two brothers; Robert W. Peterson of Mahaffey and Daniel Peterson of Kingsport, TN. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Lewis Peterson and Donald L. Peterson, two sisters; Martha Waughaman and Goldie Wolfe. Friends will be received from 11-1 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey where a funeral service will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Arlan Kratz officiating.
