Sanor W. Bennett

Sanor W. Bennett, 75, of Mahaffey, went to be with the Lord on Thursday April 18, 2024 with his family by his side.

He was born December 16, 1948 to Sanor Franklin and Alma (Seibert) Bennett in Mahaffey.

Sanor was member of Chestnut Grove Independent Church and attended Mount Carmel Church. He was a 1967 graduate of Purchase Line High School. He attended IUP. Sanor worked as a heavy equipment operator, for Benjamin Coal Company and Local 66. He enjoyed working around his home, cooking and his dogs. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, whom he married November 23, 1973, Nancy L. (Conte) Bennett, a son Mark S. Bennett, and wife Vanessa, and a granddaughter Quinn G. Bennett and his dog Sissy, a sister 

Lois Johnson and husband James, all of Mahaffey and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harry and Jim Bennett, and a sister Louise Gibson.  

Services are private at Mount Carmel Church. 

Interment will take place at New Washington Cemetery. 

The Waldron Funeral Home of Mahaffey have been entrusted with the arrangements.
