Sharon Ann Neal

Sharon Ann Neal, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many passed away peacefully after a long illness at Penn Highlands DuBois on February 6, 2025.

Sharon was born on August 16,1947 in Punxsutawney to Norman “Pete” and Nellie (Gray) Pearce. She attended Punxsutawney Area High School and the Punxsutawney Beauty School. She was a talented hair-stylist with many loyal clients at Holiday Hair, Hair Trends, and Linda Neal Beauty Salon.

Sharon had an eye for everything in life. From her classy appearance and her beautifully decorated home, to the delicious meals and carefully chosen gifts she gave to her family on every occasion. Sharon loved her pets, shopping, holidays, and caring for her plants and flowers. She also enjoyed talking on the phone to her sisters, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren — and always was up for watching a movie or playing a good game of cards. More than anything, Sharon enjoyed being with her loved ones. She would never miss a picnic at “Ronnie’s Camp” with her brother, sisters, sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ron Pearce.

“Nunny” will be sadly missed by her sons, Eric, Jeff, Terry and daughter-in law Stefanie; her grandchildren Taylor, Haylee, Kendall, Eliza, Adison, Mason, Andrew, Harbor, and Karter; great grandchildren Rory and Teddy, her ex-husband Terry Neal, Sr., her sisters Donna Best, Linda (Denny) States, and her many nieces and nephews. Sharon leaves them all with wonderful memories of love, laughter, and the best lasagna ever.

Visitors will be received at McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the time of service at 11am.
