Steven S. Jenary

Steven S. Jenary, known affectionately as "Steve," passed away on October 16, 2024, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. 

He was born on September 12, 1972, in Dubois to James M. "Satch" and Debbie Jo Jenary. 

Steve was a 1990 graduate of Jeff Tech. He began driving truck and then spent his career as a dispatcher in the trucking industry. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, dirt track racing and many other types of racing. Steve faced numerous health challenges, bravely battling through a heart transplant, a subsequent kidney transplant, and a lengthy fight against cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family during his final moments.

Steve is survived by his son, Harley D. Jenary, and wife Emily, of Tennessee. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Debbie Jo (Clark) Jenary, of Punxsutawney; his brother, Sean Jenary and wife Barb, of Punxsutawney; and his sister, Shanna Adams, along with her husband Jimmy, Punxsutawney, his grandmother, Janet Clark, and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James "Satch" Jenary.

Visitation will take place on October 18, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McCabe Funeral Home located at 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA. Additional visitation is scheduled for October 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Independent Church, 342 Lipp Road, Punxsutawney, PA, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location with Pastor Joe Spack officiating.

Interment will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Steve's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
