Thomas Dewayne Johnston, 82, of Curwensville, passed away on Wednesday March 19, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born December 1, 1942 to the late Thomas G. and Dorothy (Layman) Johnston in Bell Township, Clearfield County.
Dewayne worked for various companies throughout the area. He enjoyed the outdoors. Dewayne fished in his younger years, but his passion was hunting, especially on the Black Hills where he grew up.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian J. (Kephart) Johnston, a daughter Brenda Schurr, DuBois, two sons, Brian “Fudd” Johnston and wife Judy, John A. Johnston and wife Charlotte, both of Curwensville, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and his beloved dogs, Snoopy and Lilly.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria J. Spencer, and Carol L. Johnston.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market Street, Mahaffey, PA 15757.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dewayne’s wife Lillian Johnston, so she can memorialize his life for years to come.
