Vada C. Spangle

Vada C. (Noel) Spangle, 91 of Westover, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Benedict Manor in St. Benedict, PA.
Mrs. Spangle was born January 8, 1926 in Hastings, and grew up in La Jose.
She was the daughter of the late Harry and Goldie (Hockenberry) Noel.
She was married to James B. Spangle, who preceded her in death. They were married for over 50 years.
She lived most of her life in Quaker Town, PA where she was a nursing assistant at Life Quest Nursing Home for over 35 years.
She was a member of the La Jose United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sisters; Grace Lingenfelter of Mahaffey, and Muriel Briggs (husband James) of Lewiston, NY, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband James, she was preceded in death by her devoted partner of 15 years, Donald W. Meckley, and her siblings; Ernie, Harry "Pete", Kerry, half-brothers; Lloyd, Grant, and half sister; June.
Friends will be received from 12-2 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey, where a service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Gary McGarvey officiating.
Interment is private for family.
