Wesley Bodenhorn

Wesley Bodenhorn, 80, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown. 

He was born September 25, 1944 to Eugene and Geraldine (Catarouche) Bodenhorn in Punxsutawney.

Wes was a member of the Reynoldsville Eagles. He worked for Thermal Guard in Punxsy for over 20 years, before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, spotting deer, fishing at Cloe Lake, coaching Teener League, men’s softball and he played ball in his younger years. Wes was a diehard Pittsburgh sports fan, watching the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s softball games.

He is survived by a son Wesley “Whistle” Bodenhorn and wife, Jennifer, Punxsutawney, four grandchildren: Caleb Bodenhorn and Fiancée Megan Ray, Ava Bodenhorn, Brynn Bodenhorn, and Brooke Bodenhorn, a stepdaughter, Kim Roy and husband Bruce, and her two children Brock and Brianna, a sister-in-law Margaret “Peg” Bodenhorn, all of Punxsutawney, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law Brandy (Dobson) Bodenhorn, two brothers, Lee and Tony Bodenhorn, and a sister, Darlene Whytsell.

Services are private and have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
